We are Mieke Vandecandelaere and Valérie Demoen, the creative duo behind Fotocode. Based in Roeselare, our studio is built on a shared aesthetic vision and a deep foundation in professional photography that has flourished through a partnership spanning over 30 years. Mieke honed her technical craft at the Sint-Lucas Institute in Ghent and across various specialized studios, while Valérie developed her artistic eye at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Fashion Department in Antwerp. Together, we prioritize active listening and collaboration to bring every client’s unique vision to life.

 

Our expertise encompasses a versatile range of services tailored to your brand, including interior photography, food, lifestyle, and professional model sessions, as well as event coverage and high-quality packshots. We provide a seamless, start-to-finish production experience by handling all logistics, from scouting the perfect locations to meticulous retouching and expert styling led by Valérie. Whether working on-location or within our controlled studio environment, we adapt our approach to meet the specific energy and technical demands of each project.

 

The Fotocode studio in Roeselare is designed for total creative flexibility, featuring a fully equipped kitchen perfect for food photography. We offer the technical versatility of both pure natural daylight and professional flash photography, supported by an extensive in-house styling department. This allows us to transition seamlessly from initial concept to a polished final image, all under one roof.
